Just a quick note that the Gear Up! stickers are in and the first batch of about forty stickers is going out today to ten states, as well as 3 stickers to Indonesia. Someone has generously offered to donate $20 which will help cover the cost of postage and the envelopes I need to buy tomorrow, but since I’m no longer asking people to send SASEs (just send an e-mail with how many stickers you’d like and where to send them) the demand has, unsurprisingly, shot through the roof and I’ll probably run through the first batch of 250 stickers pretty quickly, and then need even more envelopes and postage ( hooray! ).
If you’d like to help the Gear Up! Project promote rider safety please consider going to http://www.GearUpProject.org and clicking the donate link, or buying one of the new T-shirts I just made in a variety of colors with the Gear Up! image on them. The few dollars of profit from each one will go towards printing and sending more stickers. If you’ve got a web site that sells motorcycle gear we’d love to have you sponsor a batch of stickers that would go out with your logo on them and your promotional materials in the envelope. It’ll probably be the cheapest and most effective advertising you’ve ever done as I’m only asking sponsors to cover the cost of printing and sending out however many stickers you want to make up with your logo. Details are available on the site.
I’m also looking for a web designer to give the site a proper face-lift. And, if anyone could see their way to helping out with a new, or used, label printer that works with OS X that’d be awesome as it takes a while to write out all those addresses, and I expect to be doing it every day for the foreseeable future. Juts drop me a line if you can help with anything.
